About the Collection

Fascinatingly flat watches are one of Jean Marcel's particular strengths. The new Optimum collection, which celebrates watch minimalism at its finest with its extremely slim cases, also follows in this tradition. With a total height of only 7.5 millimetres for the three-hand automatic watches and just 5.6 millimetres for the Optimum réduit, they are each one of the flattest mechanical wristwatches of modern times. Remarkable for this extremely low height are the two sapphire crystals and the water resistance up to 5 bar.

Ultimate Precision

With the Optimum collection, Jean Marcel is simultaneously introducing a new standard of quality and precision, focusing on the precision of the movements.

The internal specifications of this precision standard are stricter than the requirements of the official chronometer testing institute COSC.

Only watches with an average daily accuracy in the range of 0 to +4 seconds are certified with the Ultimate Precision seal.

In addition, the amplitude must reach at least 270° and the beat error must not exceed 0.7ms.

Every buyer receives a hand-signed document with his watch in which not only the average daily rate, but also the recorded values for amplitude and beat error are documented.
